Bears

The first Starlight Express bear I dressed was for Adrian Hansel, when he left Starlight Express in March 2001 after two years playing Rusty. When questioned 6 months later (when he was in All You Need Is Love) he said he still had the bear and he kept it in his dressing room for good luck. I have a photo of him with it somewhere, but here's the bear:

The second bear I dressed was for Pally's 20th birthday, and naturally I made her a little Belle.

When Starlight closed in London in January 2002, a group of us took upon ourselves the considerable task of dressing a bear for every member of the cast - either the role they played, or the role they most enjoyed playing (careful questioning at the stage door was necessary for this part!). Sadly I forgot to take photos of all the bears I did, but I dressed Electra, Volta, Wrench, Joule, Krupp, two Purses, Poppa and seven (I believe) Rockies. And yes, every member of the cast did have a bear, we left them all at the stage door on the last day and hope everyone picked them up!
