Elizabeth UPPERTON was the first wife of John BUNN (c.1708 - 1790), married in 1735 she was buried on  22nd May 1736 age 28 at Bury 'from Houghton'.  
There is an MI in Bury church to her:-

"Stay, passenger and cast an eye,
As you are now so once was I,
And as I am so will you be,
Prepare yourself to follow me."

She was probably the daughter of John UPPERTON and Jane (COATES), baptised on the 14th of October 1707 at Bury.
John UPPERTON and Jane COATES were issued with an Archdeaconry of Chichester Marriage Licence on the 1st of August 1691. No marriage has come to light, however they did baptise children at Bury,
