In April 2003 the Public Record Office
(PRO) and the Historical Manuscripts Commission (HMC) were combined to
form The National Archives (TNA). There is now a single website. All the records will be transferred to Kew in the near future. If you need a Reader's ticket (ie original documents) it will be at Kew The FRC provides public access to both the TNA and GRO records on film or microfiche or CD or printed book, but not the original source. |
